Maruti Suzuki Wagon R 7 seater SPIED

Maruti Suzuki is reportedly developing a Maruti Wagon R 7-seat compact Hatchback for India, similar to what Datsun attempted to do with the Datsun Go+, which will be positioned as a mini MPV under the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
A spy image of what is said to be the first prototype of the Maruti Wagon R 7-seat (code named Maruti YJC) which is still in its initial development stage has emerged on the web. Going by the looks of things, Maruti Suzuki could be aiming to launch the Maruti Wagon R 7-seat MPV before the 2016 festive season or around October 2016.
Sources say that Maruti Suzuki may not stretch the wheelbase of the Wagon R 7-seat, but will increase its overall length to accommodate the additional third row of seats. Like its siblings, the new budget MPV - Maruti Wagon R 7-seat is expected to be powered by either by a 1.0-litre or a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and would be offered with usual manual along with automatic-manual transmission options. The Maruti Wagon R based 7-seater MPV is estimated to be price between ₹ 4-6 lakh.
