The Detroit motor show takes place next month, with the schedule full of new car reveals from big-name manufacturers, as well as new concepts, facelifts and production models. Here's our pre-Detroit roundup of what to expect at the event in 2014.

AUDI
Billed as a design study, the new crossover is said to provide hints to the appearance of the next generation of Audi Q models, including a new Q1 offering confirmed for production in 2016. Audi describes the high-riding crossover as possessing a traditional shooting brake-like body with two long doors and an angled estate-style tailgate.
BMW
New 2-series coupe
A replacement for the 1-series coupé and convertible, the 2-series will be shown in hardtop form for the first time at Detroit. It adopts BMW’s new naming policy, with hatches and saloons adopting the odd numbers in the series, and coupés and convertibles taking the evens. Engines range from a 218d to the range-topping M235i.
BMW M3 and M4
The M3 saloon and M4 Coupe will be shown for the first time. Both cars use a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six producing 425bhp. Buyers have an option to chose between a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DTC automatic transmission.
BMW X1 facelift
This facelifted X1 will be sold in the UK from March, and comes with new exterior designs and a lightly re-touched interior. BMW also plans to offer an expanded range of services through its ConnectedDrive system, including an eco-tracking function and online entertainment in the new car.
BMW Z4 Pure Fusion Design
BMW will offer a new interior upgrade package for its BMW Z4 model in the form of the Pure Fusion Design specification. The top-spec trim features plenty of new leather trim and wood, alongside new paintwork.

Corvette Z06
The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will have its world debut at the Detroit motor show. Production of the Z06 will begin in late 2014, suggesting that sales will start early in 2015. It is not known whether the Corvette Z06 will be offered in right-hand drive or whether it will go on sale in Europe.
Chrysler

New 200 sedan
Replacing the Sebring model, the 200 is based on the US-centric ‘wide’ version of the platform that underpins the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. The 200 is expected to be sold with two engines: a 2.4-litre, ‘Tigershark’ four cylinder and one of Chrysler’s familiar 3.6-litre V6 Pentastar engines.
Hyundai
New Genesis sedan
The next-generation Genesis will be seen in Detroit for the first time, and despite Hyundai officials not confirming the model will come to the UK, the car is being developed in right-hand-drive form for the first time. It marks the first use of Hyundai's 'Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' design language.
Infiniti
New Q50 Eau Rouge
Supposedly taking F1 styling influences to the road, this special Q50 is intended to signify the relationship between Infiniti and the Red Bull F1 team. Infiniti says it has added new aerodynamic bodywork alongside new technology inside.
Lexus

RC F Concept
It has been suggested that this concept will be an F version of the RC Concept showcased in Tokyo earlier this year. Lexus says the model has been "engineered from scratch" and "promises to deliver performance synonymous with Lexus's heritage of F-designated performance vehicles."
Mercedes-Benz
New C-class
Mercedes’ global bestseller will be shown officially for the first time at its public debut in Detroit. It features a dramatic new look inside and out, a 100 kg weight reduction and a more efficient engine line-up.
Mercedes-Benz GLA
Based on the same MFA platform as the A-class, the GLA is an Audi Q3-rivalling baby soft-roader. First shown as concept in Shanghai earlier this year, Detroit will see the production version. It’ll be available with both front and four-wheel drive for some markets.
Mercedes-Benz S600
The S600 will be powered by a 5.5-litre V12 engine churning out an enormous 530bhp when it goes on sale in 2014. That same engine, in 6.0-litre form, will also power the S65 AMG flagship.
Mini
New Mini JCW concept
The John Cooper Works concept is based on the 2014 Mini hatchback, and is likely to be powered by a tuned version of the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine found in the Cooper S. Although Mini officially refers to it as a concept for the moment, it is very likely that it will make production.
TOYOTA
Toyota
New Supra concept
Toyota may showcase a Supra concept. A production version is likely to follow. The new concept has been designed by Toyota's Calty studio, which has contributed to a number of Lexus, Scion and Toyota designs in the past but has not worked on a Supra project before.

New XC Crossover SUV concept
Although just a concept, the XC will give strong hints towards design elements that will be seen on the new XC90, due towards the end of next year. The firm says that as XC-badged vehicles form the backbone of its range, the Concept XC includes plenty of hints towards the future design direction of those models.
